I felt every emotion possible while reading this book. I spent the entire time willing Oakley to speak, wishing Cole was my boyfriend and comparing any of the other characters to people I have in my life. Nothing like this storyline has ever happened to me yet it was so relatable! Can't wait to get stuck into broken silence! Fantastic author who has made me love reading again!

This novel is so interesting and capturing. I couldn't leave the book down for five minutes!! I think the love between Cole and Oakly is inspiring. Even though this book is fictional it still gives you a sensation. The language used to portray the characters is wonderful!!

Not much of a climatic build-up. The beginning takes up 300 pages, so the middle and ending are rushed. The story starts too far from the beginning, and the book was published a few drafts too early. The leading male Cole is unrealistically sweet, but in saying that Oakley is an interesting enough character that I wanted to finish the book. Seeing as there's a sequel, I think Preston could have merged the two into one if the first three hundred pages were cut down into maybe 50. It would have been an actual story. Most of it feels like a series of events.
